"Amir al-Mu'minin" is a symbol of unity - Pakistani scholar

"Pir Ghulam Rasul Owaisi," the leader of the Owaisi movement in Pakistan, expressed during the international webinar "Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) as the Axis of Unity," held on Monday on the eve of Eid al-Ghadir, organized by the World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, that Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (AS) was dedicated to Islam from the beginning to the end of his life, and the Prophet also acknowledged this.

AhlulBayt News Agency: "Pir Ghulam Rasul Owaisi," the leader of the Owaisi movement in Pakistan, expressed during the international webinar "Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) as the Axis of Unity," held on Monday on the eve of Eid al-Ghadir, organized by the World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, that Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (AS) was dedicated to Islam from the beginning to the end of his life, and the Prophet also acknowledged this.

He pointed out the true following of the Prophet (PBUH) by Ali (AS), stating: "The Prophet said about him, 'Ali is from me, and I am from Ali,' and he said, 'I have left among you two precious things: one is the Quran, and the other is my Ahl al-Bayt.'"

This Pakistani scholar noted: "Ali (AS) is a symbol of unity because his character is like that of the Prophet (PBUH), whom the Islamic Ummah has complete faith in and who is the center and axis of the Islamic Ummah."

Owaisi referred to the Prophet's saying that his relationship with Ali (AS) is like that of Harun (Aaron) with Musa (Moses), emphasizing that the esteemed companions of the Prophet also acknowledged the personality of Ali (AS), as all the caliphs faced difficulties during their lifetimes and turned to Ali (AS) for help, and he resolved their problems.

He stressed: "Ali (AS) is with the Quran, and the Quran is with Ali (AS); just as the Quran is the guide for all of God's creatures, Ali (AS) is also the guide for all creatures, as the Prophet said that Ali (AS) will always remain with the Quran until he meets me at the Pool of Kawsar."

This Pakistani scholar emphasized that if we want to curb division, we must have a personality like that of Ali (AS), noting: "The Islamic Ummah considers Ali (AS) as their leader, regardless of their group, sect, or beliefs. No one can oppose the character of Ali (AS) because after the Prophet, he is the guide for his companions and for the entire Islamic Ummah."
